Members of the Southern Pioneer Electric Helping Us Give To Society (H.U.G.S.) program recently presented the Liberal Baseball Association with a $2,000 grant. The grant will be used to offset the cost of purchasing a new portable canopy system.
“The canopy system is a vital piece of equipment for our signups, skill evaluations, games and community events,” said Brad Morris, Secretary and Treasury for the Liberal Baseball Association.
Morris stated that the program serves over 250 youth baseball players from Liberal and many of the surrounding areas.
“The H.U.G.S. program is about giving back to the communities we serve,” said Ruby Terrazas, Southern Pioneer H.U.G.S. team member. “We look forward to seeing how the addition of the canopy aids the baseball program and helps them continue to grow.
