Minneola Substation Outage – August 6, 2026 – RESTORED

At Southern Pioneer Electric, we know our customers expect the lights to come on every time they turn on the switch. Our goal is to safely and reliably deliver electricity to homes and businesses. However, there are times when we experience a power outage for a variety of reasons. Earlier we experienced an outage, but at this time all power has been restored.

  • The power outage began at approximately 5:40 AM.
  • At this time power has been restored to Minneola.
  • Power has been restored to all customers.

At Southern Pioneer Electric, we know our customers expect the lights to come on every time they turn on the switch. Our goal is to safely and reliably deliver electricity to homes and businesses. However, there are times when we experience a power outage for a variety of reasons. Currently, we do have an outage in our system. This is what we know at this time:

  • The power outage began at approximately 7:00 AM.
  • At this time, we can confirm we do have a power outage that is affecting approximately 400 customers.
  • The power outage area includes Minneola.
  • The outage appears to have been caused by a substation failure.
  • Crews are responding to the outage.
  • Residents and businesses in our service area could be without electricity for several hours.
  • Power has been restored to none of our customers, as of yet.
  • At this time power is still out in the Minneola area.
  • We apologize for any inconvenience this event may have caused.
  • Although we post service updates to social media, we do not monitor social media for reports of outages. All outages must be reported by phone or our App.
