H.U.G.S PROGRAM LIFTS WEIGHT OFF OF SATANTA HIGH SCHOOL WEIGHT ROOM PROJECT

Members of the Southern Pioneer Electric Helping Us Give to Society (H.U.G.S.) program presented Satanta High School representatives with a $1,500 grant to update equipment in the school’s weight room.

“Most of the equipment in the weight room is over 25 years old,” said Karen Burrows, TITLE. “Receiving this grant will help us increase safety in the weight room and the overall participation and health of those who use it.”

Satanta high school offers weight programs for its students including summer weights and conditioning programs.

“Providing Satanta High School with this grant is an investment in the lives of the students who utilize the space,” said Rae Gorman, Southern Pioneer Electric manager of energy services. “It is our sincere hope that these funds will help make the space their own and grow their programs.”
